Ben Badiee is the founder and CEO of Badiee Development Inc. (“BDI”) and several other successful business ventures. Mr. Badiee formed Badiee Development in 2003 and currently has upwards of a $100 million Southern California real estate development pipeline of Class A industrial and high tech office properties which offer compelling investment structures in attractive markets and with high quality amenities and customer service.
Mr. Badiee’s vision for Badiee Development is to create a long-term real estate firm and operation that creates valuable outcomes for those with a financial relationship with the company as well as through the company’s strategic corporate philanthropy.
He is responsible for developing private and equity investment strategies, acquiring the land and hiring professional firms as well as securing construction and permanent financing, leasing and positioning of assets. He believes that taking a hands-on approach to all phases of the development process is the best approach to delivering the highest quality real estate products.

Vice President of Construction
Scott Merry is vice president of construction for Badiee Development and is responsible for full-service construction and project management including due diligence and feasibility studies, programming, scheduling, entitlements, conceptual estimating, value engineering, constructability review and construction administration. Over the course of his 40-year career in commercial real estate, Mr. Merry has held several management and operational roles for hundreds of Southern California development projects and clients including Brixton Capital, Shiraz Partners, ViaSat, Stone Brewing and Gatzke Dillon & Balance and has expertise as an owners representative managing the design and construction of multi-million dollar projects.
Mr. Merry earned a BS degree in Business from San Luis Obispo and an A.A. degree from Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa, CA.

Casey Gilley, CPA
Chief Financial Officer
Casey Gilley is a Chief Financial Officer and was previously part of a development team that raised nearly $800 million debt and equity project financing for the development of healthcare facilities. He is responsible for the financial model and budgets for all projects in addition to the day-to-day finance and accounting for Badiee Development.
While working with many investors on their due diligence efforts, he has learned the risks involved in different financial structures, and has a good understanding of what is expected of new projects looking for financial support. Casey has both audit and tax experience at McGladrey, the 5th largest CPA firm in the United States.
Casey earned his CPA in 2002 and holds a B.A. degree in Business Administration & Accounting from California State University – Fullerton.
Bob Badiee has extensive Accounting, Human Resource and Management experience including development and execution of corporate policies and procedures. He is an experienced analyst, strategic thinker, and a creative and flexible problem solver skilled in contract management and negotiations as well as customer relations and customer service. Bob has deep experience building accounting and auditing procedures for domestic and international operations and has established four unique accounting systems to operate and manage companies in the U.S., Mexico and Latin America. He is also adept in Operations Management for retail, trade show and online operations.

Dan Palazzo is an Analyst at Badiee Development and is responsible for day to day accounting and bookkeeping. Originally from Connecticut, Dan relocated to San Diego and has served in the US Navy.
Dan earned a BBA degree in Business Administration and Management from Bryant University in Rhode Island where he also played Division I collegiate baseball.

Outside General Counsel
Martin Weiss has built a distinguished 30-year career as an attorney specializing in real estate and business transactions. He has participated in real estate transactions totaling in excess of $1 billion in Southern California. He offers excellence in client service with the highest degree of ethical standards, honesty and integrity.
He serves as the outside General Counsel for a number of Southern California businesses providing legal services in such matters as entity formation, shareholder agreements, limited liability operating agreements, maintenance of corporate formalities, non-disclosure and non-circumvention agreements, purchase and sale agreements, title review, contract drafting, escrow management, construction, leasing, formation of 501(c)(3) entities, financing, and management of outside counsel in specialty areas such as civil litigation, environmental and public finance. Mr. Weiss is the senior partner of The Weiss Group, LLP with his partner and son, Ben Weiss, a law firm specializing in real estate and business transactions.
Mr. Weiss graduated cum laude from Harvard College in 1972 and also earned cum laude honors from the University of San Diego (USD) School of Law in 1979. He went on to earn an LLM degree in Taxation from USD.
